Here are some highlights from the beginning of the year , Monmouth County Chiefs of Police forum hosted by Monmouth County Behavioral Health , and concluded ending the year with co hosting a free Thanksgiving Dinner for the community.
🤝 **Stigma-Free Commitment:** Our collaboration with police chiefs throughout Monmouth County to sign the Stigma Free Proclamation underscored our dedication to mental health awareness and support.
🎗️ **National Mental Health Awareness Month:** Walking alongside the No Stigma Network, we actively worked to end mental health stigmas at the Manalapan Rec Center, emphasizing the importance of open conversations and support.
🎉 **Celebrating Diversity:** The Juneteenth festival in downtown Freehold and the Gala honoring local difference-makers during the Juneteenth holiday were moments of joy, unity, and celebration of our diverse community.
🌐 **New Jersey Governor’s Council on Mental Health Stigma Ambassador Awards Luncheon :** Our participation as exhibitors at the awards luncheon on Celebrating Stigma Free Zones showcased our commitment to fostering inclusive spaces statewide.
📚 **Education Initiatives:** Back-to-school collaborations with Bethel AME Church, The House On Steven Avenue Fund Inc., and We Are The Future Inc. ensured that students had the resources they needed for a successful academic year. We gave out school supplies, book bags and teacher totes filled with cleaning products.
Partnered with local barbers to offer free haircuts to students.
🍂 **Community Thanksgiving Dinner:** We Co- sponsored A Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner, in partnership with Provisions Promised Pantry and We Are The Future Inc was a heartwarming gathering that highlighted the spirit of gratitude and community. We feed over 100 members of the community.
As we embark on a new year, let's carry the lessons, unity, and compassion of the past year forward. Thank you for being an essential part of our community journey. Here's to a promising and brighter future together!
